Measuring Your Health With The Wellness Score

At Pure Wellness Centre we believe that there are two types of Doctors , a Sickness Doctor and a Wellness Doctor, and we know that the more you go to your Wellness Doctor the less you have to go and see your Sickness Doctor. So how do we as Wellness Doctors measure your Health ? Well, we have to measure it on physiology not feelings because just because you 'feel' OK doesn't necessarily mean that everything on the inside is working OK . Have you ever heard of someone who 'felt' fine one day and then the next day had a heart attack or someone who went for a routine breast examination and 'felt' fine that day but was later diagnosed with breast cancer. Feelings or a lack of symptoms are not an effective way of measure our health.

That is where the Wellness Score comes in. This scoring system is developed to track and measure your physiology and function. It provides a grading from A to F, measuring what we call biomarkers of health. During your next patient examination we will be measuring a series of biomarkers of health to allow us to establish your current state of health and how best to help you.

Below are a few examples of the parameters we will be examining:

  • Body Mass Index
  • Body Composition Analysis
  • Nerve and Muscle Scans
  • pH levels
  • Postural Analysis
  • Blood Pressure
  • Heart Rate Variability
  • Functional Movement Assessment
  • Blood Tests (if necessary at an additional cost)
  • X-rays (if necessary at an additional cost)

After every new patient examination you will be invited back to go through a full report of your results and recommendations for care. Every programme is unique to the individual based on their own health goals and needs, so whether you are looking to lose weight, increase your energy, improve your posture or get out of pain this is the starting point to ensure you get the best care possible for your case.
