As the summer days roll in, so many of you are heading out to play golf. But did you know, Chiropractic can improve your drive and minimize injury!
A Study that was conducted in 2009 in Brazil included 43 golfers. These golfers were split into 2 groups and their drive measured over a 4 week period. One group did stretches only and the other group got regular chiropractic adjustments. At the end of the study the golfers who got adjusted could hit the ball 8m further than those who only stretched.
So how does this work? Chiropractic aims to improve the alignment of your spine which in turn improves your posture. Your posture determines the flexibility of your surrounding joints including your shoulders and how much you can rotate. A forward head posture or rounded back can decrease the amount you can rotate which affects your swing and how far you can drive the ball. Getting regularly adjusted helps to improve your alignment, your posture, your mobility and therefore your game.
